Located in Norton Park, Dartmouth

Our Devon holiday lets are situated at Norton Park Dartmouth, which is only a short drive from the town centre, where you can explore the shops and visit some of the local restaurants and cafes. Light, open and spacious, there is plenty of outdoor space at Norton Park for games or relaxing in the sunshine. Not to mention, the park is within the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so you’ll be able to enjoy views of the surrounding countryside and river Dart.

Take a boat trip from Dartmouth up the river to visit Agatha Christie’s holiday home at Greenway (National Trust) or take the ferry across to Kingswear for a steam train ride to Paignton. At the mouth of the river stands Dartmouth Castle (English Heritage), offering a fascinating trip back in time. It’s no secret that a lot of people come to Dartmouth to explore its nearby award-winning beaches, which you can read more about in our recent blog ‘4 great beaches for your Dartmouth holidays’. You will be able to enjoy the stunning sea views with a coffee and a slice of cake in one of the close-by independentcafés and afterwards, take a walk along the impressive coastal path, where you can fully appreciate the landscape.

Further afield is the sandy cove of Blackpool Sands with plenty of parking and amenities, and Slapton Sands where WW2 troops trained in preparation for the D-Day landings.

No car? No problem – the Totnes to Dartmouth bus stops at Norton Park, and the Dartmouth to Plymouth bus takes the scenic route past Blackpool Sands and Slapton, and stopping at many other points of interest on its way to Plymouth. With the steam train and the boats from Dartmouth, this area really can be explored without a car.
